Preschool Staff
I am so excited to be here, and am so impressed with the commitment to quality at BHPP. I have been involved with a wide variety of programs during my twenty-five years of experience in early childhood education; as a Teacher, a Validator for NAEYC, as a Coach and Mentor and as a Director. The high level of commitment from BHPP Parents and Administration is unmatched. I look forward to a great year and the opportunity to meet more of our BHPP Parents.
My hopes and dreams are that each child lives a long, healthy and happy life. I hope every child experiences a lot of love and nurturing in his/her young life, and that he/she has the support needed to achieve his/her career goals (not those set by others) and life goals. I feel that unconditional love and support are primary requirements for a happy and healthy childhood.
I hope that each child gets the help he/she needs in terms of special needs. Children with special needs rely on focused attention and benefit from early intervention to facilitate the learning experience. My philosophy is that children learn at their own pace through play, structure, love and compassion. You may never force a child to accelerate their learning ability.
My hope for each child is that he/she has a good education and the opportunity to be successful. I believe that education is a life-long developmental process where all people acquire information. Learning and experience help us develop socially, emotionally, cognitively and physically. Individuals are exposed to learning in their daily living. The richness of one’s education becomes important in the way one processes the knowledge and how one uses it throughout life.
Each child is different and unique and has different needs. We are here to be responsive to their needs. I believe the children learn when they are ready. I hope that all children have the opportunity to grow at their own pace and be happy.
My hope is that each child becomes self-confident and sociable. I also wish for all of them to have a hunger for a good education and to become well rounded people. Children learn best through play. I want the children to be respectful of one another. I would like to teach them social skills and give them the tools they need to have a positive experience in their first years of school, and to set a good foundation.
My goal is that each child will thrive and develop strong self esteem, confidence, internal motivation and a life-long love of learning. I believe that children gain knowledge through play based experiences. They should be allowed the freedom to accomplish tasks to become confident in their abilities. Therefore, I encourage independence and give children the chance to undertake challenging activities. I also provide them with the opportunity to use their imagination and be creative. I believe each child should be seen as an individual who will learn at his or her own pace. I model good behavior to promote respect for self and others.
When you create an atmosphere where learning is fun, children will feel empowered, confident and believe in their own capabilities and want to learn. My passion has been the creation of a phonics program that offers children the opportunity to become early readers. They begin by recognizing letter sounds and then understand how these sounds become words. I love being able to offer a program that is play based and encourages confidence in their ability to become beginning readers.
I want all children to grow up happy, healthy and full of dreams. I believe that children learn through nurturing and discipline, and that there is a time and place for everything. I believe that we need to be compassionate and kind to be able to impart knowledge to children. My philosophy is to nourish young children’s minds within a secure and stimulating environment and strive to provide parents with tools for helping their children succeed in Preschool and in the future.
I hope that each child finishes school and receives the best education available to them. I believe that this is vital element in choosing the right path in life. I strive to ensure that the children I work with are educated, kind and respectful with everybody.
I want each and every child to feel equal, to fit in with their peers and not to feel different. My dream for is that each child fulfills his or her dreams and aspirations. My philosophy is learning from the children. I also believe that each child learns at a different pace, and see the value of encouraging children. Praising them for their effort enhances and facilitates their learning process.
My goal is to develop the heart and mind of each child. I hope each child grows up knowing Jesus’ love, and forms a close relationship with God. A peaceful life is my greatest wish for each child. Age appropriate academics, character and intellect are important cornerstones of my teaching style. I have a Bachelor of Arts degree from UCLA, have obtained my Teaching Credential, and hold an M.A. in Education from the California State University of Los Angeles. I recently completed the Multiple Subject Professional Clear Credential. I love the friendly and amazing staff here at BHPP, and the sense of family and community. I am friendly, reliable and organized, and am a firm believer that there is a time and place for everything.
